Das ist mehr ein internes Memo bzw. für englische Kunden gedacht, welche ein Philips VoIP 8551 ihr Eigen nennen und kein Englisch / England als Land auswählen können und ein Problem mit der Vorwahl haben – man muss im wesentlichen einfach nur bei jeder englischen Nummer die Länderkennung +44 für UK als Vorwahl einspeichern. Dann geht es.
If I manually dial a local number (eg. 763828) and direct the call to the landline (Regular call), the phone does the right thing and adds the local area code to the number (eg. 01225 763828) before dialling and the call is successful. Please note that for a landline call the national prefix (+44) is not required.
If I manually dial a local number (eg. 763828) and direct the call to Skypeout, this is when things go badly wrong. The phone first adds the area code (eg. 01225 763828), so far so good but it now places the national code of the currently selected country (Germany) at the front of the number (eg. +49 01225 763828) so it doesn’t matter which country I set the phone to, the code is not +44 so the call to the UK fails.
Unfortunately, most of the calls that I make are manually dialled UK calls via Skypeout so I hit the problem just described.
There is a workaround, if I type the whole number (eg. +44 1225 763828), a call via Skypeout will succeed because the phone doesn’t interfere with a number that starts with a +.
