Siemens Repeater piept – Problembehebung

Wir vor wenigen Tagen berichtet, nutzt einer unser englischen Kunden ein S675 IP in England (wo sonst 😉 ) und hat selbiges mit Hilfe eines Siemens Repeaters so modifiziert, dass er auch im Nebengebäude noch telefonieren kann.

Nun hatte er ständig einen Piepton beim Telefonieren. Egal ob intern, extern via VoiP oder eben nicht.

Es handelt sich hierbei um den Repeater Bestätigungston, der sich wie folgt deaktivieren lässt:

REPEATER – Deactivate/Activate verification tone:

Activate a verification tone
The Gigaset repeater enables you to switch on a verification tone. With the verification tone the customer is able to establish whether or not the handset is working in the extended area of the Gigaset Repeater. This tone is audible on the activated handset as long as the unit is connected to the Gigaset Repeater. Carry out the procedure described below in order to switch the verification tone on and off:

To activate:

Switch off the unit (disconnect the power plug)
Switch on for 1 to 5 seconds and switch it off again.
Switch on again. If the LED on the unit is flashing slowly, switch it off again.
Switch it on again. The verification tone is then activated.
To deactivate:

Switch off the unit (disconnect the power plug)
Switch on for 1 to 5 seconds and switch it off again.
Switch on again. If the LED on the unit is flashing slowly, switch it off again.
Switch it on again. The verification tone is then deactivated.
